26-Year-Old Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Holland Township Crash at East Lakewood Boulevard and North Park Drive

Holland Township, Michigan – Authorities are investigating a Sunday morning traffic accident that left a 26-year-old motorcyclist from Zeeland seriously injured in Holland Township, Ottawa County.

The major injury motorcycle accident transpired at about 11:50 a.m. at East Lakewood Boulevard and North Park Drive.

According to the officials, a car, driven by a 31-year-old of Holland Township, was waiting to make a turn. As it began to turn, it collided with a motorcycle operated by the 26-year-old rider.

The rider was seriously injured in the accident and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

The driver of the car sustained minor injuries and was not hospitalized, the authorities said.

Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the accident.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
