1 Dies, 3 Severely Hurt in Jackson County Collision on State Route 273
Jackson County, Florida (August 10, 2023) – One person was killed, and three others sustained severe injuries after a multi-car crash Wednesday morning in Jackson County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the wreck happened Wednesday morning on State Route 273. 
A pick-up truck was headed southbound on State Road 273 at the same time, a sedan was driving northbound with another pick-up truck behind it.
For unknown reasons, the first pickup drifted into the center line and struck the sedan, causing it to flip. The pickup then continued to travel southbound in the northbound lane and collided with the other pick-up truck.
The first driver then spun around, coming to a final rest facing northeast.
The first driver died at the scene.
The sedan driver, driver, and passenger of the second truck were transported to a hospital in critical condition.
