Jacksonville Men Killed in St. Johns County Accident on A1A near Guana River Road
St. Johns County, Florida (April 28, 2023) – Two 29-year-old Jacksonville men were killed in a wrong-way, head-on collision Thursday morning in St. Johns County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the traffic collision happened on April 20 on Ponte Vedra Boulevard near Guana River Road. 
Reportedly, the men were in a car traveling south on A1A when they crossed the double yellow line into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a pickup truck.
After the initial crash, the car spanned out and was struck on the right side by a southbound SUV on A1A behind the truck.
The two men in the car died at the crash scene.
Truck driver St. Augustine man, sustained minor injuries following the wreck.
A 28-year-old St. Augustine female driver was seriously injured.
Everyone involved in the collision was wearing a seatbelt during the wreck.
FHP is investigating the mishap.
