Kaitlyn Kohler Killed in Port St. Lucie Accident at Highway 1 and Crosstown Parkway
Port St. Lucie, Florida (May 5, 2023) – 28-year-old Kaitlyn Kohler was struck and killed in a crash involving an on-duty deputy at an intersection in Port St. Lucie early Friday morning.
The tragic traffic collision happened at around 1:16 a.m. in the area of Highway 1 and Crosstown Parkway. 
According to the FHP, a 26-year-old deputy was going north on Highway 1 in the center line, entering the intersection of Crosstown Parkway.
At the same time, Kohler was approaching the intersection, walking from the west into the path of the deputy’s car, and was struck.
Kohler was declared dead at the accident scene.
No other details regarding the crash were provided.
An investigation is underway.
